We at the Ogden Valley Forum decided to come out of blogging retirement because we are disappointed—and frankly disgusted—by the ongoing censorship surrounding this election. Far too many local Facebook groups that claim to be “unbiased” are silencing voices that question Janet Wampler’s background or express support for Shanna Francis.
This censorship is only getting worse. Residents who raise legitimate questions about Janet’s political leanings, or who speak up in favor of Shanna, are being blocked, removed, or otherwise shut out of the conversation. That isn’t healthy debate—it’s manipulation of the narrative.
We encourage everyone to read through the comments at the newly created Ogden Valley Citizens 411 page, which included screenshots taken directly from Janet Wampler’s X account.
For transparency, we’ll add this disclaimer: over the past week we’ve received many of these screenshots and originally chose not to publish them. However, given how one-sided the discussion has become, we believe it’s important that the full picture be available to the community. With that in mind, we have now included a link to some of the screenshots.
Click here to view this post from the newly created Ogden Valley Citizens 411 page, started just about a week ago in response to the censorship happening in other local groups, including:
- Ogden Valley Citizens
- Ogden Valley 411
- Ogden Valley Election Forum
On the surface, those groups appear to be open and inclusive. In reality, they either block posts and comments supporting Shanna Francis or shut down any discussion critical of Janet Wampler, up to, and including, the blocking of members. Ogden Valley Citizens 411 and The Ogden Valley Forum were created to provide a space where all voices can be heard without fear of censorship.
