In an effort to accommodate weekend traffic, we
have changed the closure schedule slightly. The following are the
updated closure times for SR-39 in Ogden Canyon.
Sunday night – Friday morning: 8pm – 5am
Friday night – Saturday morning: 10pm – 6am
Saturday night: no closure
Hopefully, this modification will lessen the impact
to residents and businesses. We recognize that visitors within the
canyon are usually more frequent on Friday and Saturday evenings.

It would be really nice if they could at least open the canyon when they say it is going to be open. People plan on it being open and on 1/3/13 the canyon did not open back up until 0530.
Been thinking the last couple of days....I think that the public needs to know what the "unforeseen" conditions were that caused this sudden change in the way the work is going to be accomplished. With the temperatures we are experiencing and do during the heart of winter and the fact that the traffic will be driving the frost into the underlying material this is going to be interesting.
Might want to change the hours on the signs that say it closes on 10 pm on Saturdays. Causing confusion.
Counted 112 cars coming from the Ogden side a few days ago. The temperature outside was 15. I think 112 cars did NOT turn off their engines, while they waited their "turn". It was an inversion day. A BIG FREAKING MESS.
