EDEN, Utah — The Wolf Mountain ski resort, once under a cloud of bankruptcy, has been sold to an investment group, FOX 13 News has confirmed.
Skyline Mountain Base, a group of local and European investors, purchased the resort in a deal confirmed Thursday. The purchase amount was not disclosed.
A representative for the resort told FOX 13 News the group had a 10-year plan that included some expansion. In a statement, Skyline Mountain Base said no changes were immediate, except staying open longer (and on Sundays).
“Few changes to the mountain will be noticeable this season; our focus will be creating a plan for a family oriented, world class year around resort. The resort will continue to operate as Wolf Mountain until sometime in the near future,” the group said. “We look forward to the continued support and participation of our local community and guests.”
The resort went into bankruptcy in 2010, and parts of it were put up for auction. The ski resort itself failed to sell at that auction.
Eventually, court filings indicate the resort emerged from bankruptcy. Skyline Mountain Base said it purchased the resort from America First Credit Union.

  1. European's eh...maybe the put a nice little coffee shop serving swiss chocolate and espresso at the top of the mountain. In all seriousness I hope Summit, Wolf, Eden, Huntsville, Ogden Valley, Liberty, Nordic Valley all don't work in silo's on their development plans. This whole valley is absolutely great now and could be ruined if these organizations don't agree on smart open-space planning.

  2. Does anyone know who the individuals of "Skyline Mountain" are? I have heard that Craig Olsen of Huntsville and owner of Diamond Peaks heli skiing is one of the investors. Anyone else that we know?

  3. One thing is for certain - the valley as we know it will be totally different ten years from now.

  4. ....water, sewer, environmental impact... from what has been discussed they have an aggressive development plan...including going to the top of the mountain...which is Forest Service Property and a lot of housing. Any runs on property they own to the south of the resort would have to run out to private residences or one long traverse....
    Apparently the Europeans are French....
watch for lift tickets to rise too....

also heard this is what they are planning on implementing.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SkyTran
    uh huh....

  9. Jon, Nodic Valley, Ogden Valley, and Utah all look different than they did 25 years.I trust that you contributed to the good parts of those changes. Let's hope that ignorance, a lack of communication and comprehension don't ruin it for all of us.and JohnnyN, thanks for sharing we knew we could count on you good job! :-)
