  1. Good news. Thanks to all that contacted their leaders to make this happen.

  2. Another one for the good guys. What other than steroids makes the Joneses think they can do whatever they want, with impunity? Perhaps the old "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission" syndrome is weakening hereabouts.

Alas, there is an appeal to the Weber County Board of Adjustment available to the meatcutters, so Weber County has yet another opportunity to do something stupid, ala Green Valley Prison, er, I mean Academy.

  3. Change is inevitable and has no regard to good or evil. The money will still be made regardless of location - it just wont benefit the people of the Valley.
An unchanging community is like a puddle of water slowly going stagnant and drying up. If you're going to fight tooth and nail for every business that threatens positive growth, you deserve what you get.

  4. How many times have we in the Valley heard that this change is good for you, even though we are bypassing ordinances and laws, it will be good for you. Yeah Right!!

I guess that's what it's all about for Douglas Adams, money. Take that kind of money elsewhere Adams, you need it more than we do.

  5. Change? Positive growth? My, My, Douglas, maybe we should have an Occupy Ogden Valley to go after these money grubbing business people trying to be successful.

  6. Dear Mr. Douglas Adams. Please provide me with your address so that we can suggest to the Jones' and Weber County Planning office to relocate this to your front yard! Where your children can walk past it on their way to bus stop and watch truck loads of dead Elk carcasses being unloaded by the hundreds. And have fifty foot semis parked in front of your house blocking the road for hours with inadequate access and unable to turn around. Don't get me wrong here, I am not opposed to what the Jones' are doing as business in the Valley is good. We are opposed to its location! Residential neighborhoods, our front yard! First this is AV-3 zoning and their locations is within 50 feet of one residence and 100 feet from mine. If you want to operate a business in the Valley, you should at least locate it in the proper location, Commercially zoned! We asked the Jones' this courtesy from the beginning and was ignored. Besides, there is the right way to do things in the Valley and the Jones' way. First we build, then we get permits. Why does our county officials allow this?? Are you really that stupid!
